Spring Cambridge Lunch - 21st March 2006
A roaring fire greeted our return to Cambridgeshire for a spring lunch. Rosemary and Colin Hayes were marvellous hosts and it was great to see so many members attend.
Raising a glass: Valerie Grosvenor Myer and Michael Grosvenor Myer
First past the post: Colin Hayes, David Lowe and Pat Lowe.
Three conversations in front of the fire: from the back: Elizabeth Drayson talks to a mystery writer, while Edward Coales plots with Sue Heaser, and Paola Trimarco chats to Colin Hayes.
Food glorious food: from quiche to vegetable rolls, from roast chicken to lemon cheesecake.
The mystery revealed: Elizabeth Drayson asking Mary Dobson how smelly history can get.
Taking a chair: Pat Lowe, Elizabeth Drayson, and Michael Grosvenor Myer.
Pictured: David Cobb and David Lowe (Natascha Scott-Stokes and John Worrall in the background)
A quiet chat: Paola Trimarco and crime writer Valerie Kershaw.
A kitchen cabinet plots: Rosemary Hayes outlines the plan to Richard Brown, Mary Dobson and Annemarie Young.
A widening kitchen conspiracy: Colin Hayes and Edward Coales go through the finer details as Rosemary Hayes, Richard Brown, and Annemarie Young listen to Mary Dobson's cunning plan.
Sofa talk: John Worrall discusses the finer points of South America with Natascha Scott-Stokes.
Prize for the best dressed: Valerie Grosvenor Myer showing that writers can be stylish!
Back to school for the Chairman as his forgets to use the flash (Valerie Grosvenor Myer in the front shadows!).
And it gets worse. He should have followed David Lowe's advice and taken a second picture. Well, maybe next time!
