Members News: New service for academic writers
Anthony Haynes and Karen Haynes have launched a new business focused on academic, professional and educational publishing. The Professional and Higher Partnership will work at the interface between authors and publishers.
Commenting on the Partnership’s services to authors, EAW member Anthony Haynes explained, “some academic, professional and educational authors could benefit from the services of a literary agent, but have difficulty finding a suitable agent – the sector is biased towards trade publishing. We’re here to fill the gap.
“There are also many others who do not need full agency representation, but could do with help making pitches and negotiating contracts. We’re happy to provide that assistance.”
Haynes, who is author of A&C Black’s Writing Successful Textbooks and Visiting Professor at Beijing Normal University, recently quit his post as Publishing Director at Continuum in order to set up the new business.
