About the EAW

East Anglian Writers aims to bring together and help promote the work of professional writers in Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire.
We hold a number of social events throughout the year to help break the isolation of writing and share experiences. In addition to social events, we also organise occasional outings, performances and readings of writers’ work, and speakers.
Our members come from a variety of disciplines, including biography, fiction, non-fiction, children’s books, translation and poetry..

Our Annual Social Events often include:

A Spring Jolly (a tour of places of literary interest in East Anglia)
A Spring Lunch
The Summer Party (a pastoral gathering with food and wine)
The Christmas Party (a lively lunchtime party to meet fellow members)

Literary Events:

Readings, performance, master classes and speakers.

Charles Christian reading at Ely
