David Collison

Biography
Born in 1947, David Collison has for the past 10 years been the author of the annual editions of Tiley & Collison: UK Tax Guide, a handbook written for the tax professionals - mainly barristers, solicitors and for those following a higher degree in Revenue Law. Another major work is Share Valuation Handbook, which analyses all cases on share valuation considered by the English Courts from 1889 to the present. David has written the Revenue Law section of the Oxford Dictionary of Law (6th edition), a standard work for all undergraduates taking a law degree.
David has written over 50 published articles on taxation topics, as well as the occasional piece of writing on photography and on cave art.
David combines his writing with providing a tax consultancy service for practising solicitors and accountants and also acts as trustee of many family trusts.
A new venture for David is writing of his experiences and emotional challenge in caring for his wife who was diagnosed in 2004 with a severe and rapidly degenerative neurological condition.
David lives with his wife and her carer in a village near Cambridge.
David is a member of the Society of Authors. |
