Julie Bruton-Seal
Illustration, Graphic Novels and Cartoons
Biography
I was always writing and illustrating ‘books’ as a child, probably
because my parents were too. When I was ten, I wrote and illustrated
a series of articles for Drive magazine, with a little help from my
parents! I was a founding editor of my high school newspaper, and a
photographer for my University newspaper and yearbook, and later had
photos published in National Geographic and other magazines. After writing Vegetarian Masterpieces with my friend Carol Tracy, we had a column in the Charlotte Observer and regularly contributed recipes to other publications, but then I took a break from writing for a few years.
I moved to Namibia and then to England, working as an illustrator
while I trained in herbal medicine and iridology. I'm currently the
editor of Nature's Path, a quarterly natural health journal, and
still find time to write occasional articles. My husband,
Matthew
Seal, and I are writing two books together at the moment, on natural
aphrodisiacs. |
