Biography

Olga Sinclair, writes fiction, local history, and for children – her books have been translated into many languages and sold in 15 different countries. Many have been published in large print and recorded on audio cassette.

As her husband, Stan Sinclair, was Scottish frequent trips over the border led to a book on Gretna Green – 250 years of runaway marriages (UnwinHyman 1989). Now out of print it is still regarded as the definitive history. Libby Purves wrote – "The legal and anecdotal evidence about Gretna is complicated : what better historian for it than a sensible lady justice of the peace, who also writes novels for Mills and Boon? Such is Olga Sinclair who has untangled the legends with a firm motherly hand. The result is immoderately fascinating."

Olga is President of Norwich Writers’ Circle. She is a member of East Anglian Writers, The Society of Authors, The Romantic Novelists Association, and The Society of Women Writers and Journalists.
