Victoria Manthorpe Non-fiction (Life Studies, Biography)
Biography
Victoria Manthorpe is a feature writer and author covering Victorian, Edwardian and Georgian subjects with a special interest in Norfolk history and English regional writing. Her articles include: Cromer in Egypt, Frankenstein’s Beginnings (Godwin), The Three Sons of General Bulwer, Brothers in Arms (the Baines brothers), The White Cat of Holkham, Priestess in Poppyland (Dion Fortune), Printer’s Mark (Hansard), The Galsworthy Saga (Ada Galsworthy).
Previews include: The Dark Enigma of Anna Sewell (Adrienne Gavin), A Tale to be Told – Patience Tomlinson’s one-man show on the Norfolk writer Mary Mann.
She has a BA in History from the University of Toronto and a MA in Biography from the University of East Anglia.
Victoria Manthorpe is currently Chairwoman of East Anglian Writers.
